Alia Bhatt is full of ‘scared and nervous’ after becoming a mother: No time for myself
Actress Alia Bhatt opened up about the challenges of managing her time between work and being an active mother. She also revealed that her daughter Rhea is a ‘naughty’ and ‘chirpy’ kid.
Actress Alia Bhatt, who is mother to one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Rhea, is trying to strike a balance between motherhood and her acting profession. Recently, she opened up about the challenges of managing her time between work and being an active mother. She also revealed that Rhea is a “naughty” and “chirpy” kid.

How do I juggle both (motherhood and work) and do them well, and also find a way to find time for myself, which I have not been able to do. I will be very frank right now – I have no such thing as time for myself. I have not even been able to get a therapy session in for the last two months.”
The 31-year-old actress admitted that becoming a mother has brought her as much joy as anxiety. She said, “Your soul is fulfilled in a way, but you are always filled with fear and nervousness because you just want to do it right and do it well.”
But one thing Aaliyah has learned from her parents about parenting is to let her daughter have her own life instead of being a helicopter parent. She said she learned from her parents, “Children come through you. They are yours; you are the catalyst, you are the source of their life, but their life is not yours. Their life is theirs, and you just need to give them the tools to deal with their life.”
Alia and her husband Ranbir Kapoor became parents to daughter Rhea on November 6, 2022. After initially shielding her from the paparazzi, the new parents introduced her to them on Christmas in 2023. Recently, a video of her interacting with her grandmother Neetu Kapoor was widely shared on the Internet.
While Internet users were praising Rhea’s cute voice, Alia shared that Rhea is a “talkative” kid as she said, “She’s naughty. She’s talkative. She has her moments of being shy. She’s a girl who lives her life on her own terms, but she’s very intelligent.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Zirgra, which will hit the theatres on October 11. Apart from this, she also has Shiv Rawail’s Alpha, which is the seventh film in YRF’s spy universe. It also stars Sharvari Wagh, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor.
