Ali Fazal has shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the shooting of Mirzapur: The Film, currently underway in Rajasthan. The much-awaited cinematic expansion of the popular OTT series promises a grand theatrical release across India in 2026.

Ali Fazal shares a behind-the-scenes video from the set Mirzapur: MovieConfirming that the shooting of the much-awaited theatrical adaptation is currently underway in Rajasthan. The actor, who returns as Guddu Pandit, posted clips from the ongoing schedule being filmed in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
The video shows Fazal arriving on the set in his familiar Guddu Bhaiya look, giving fans a glimpse of the scale of the film and the production environment. Along with the post, the actor thanked the people of Rajasthan for their warmth and hospitality, and also thanked the hotels and local teams that supported the cast and crew during the shoot.

Mirzapur: Movie It marks the big screen expansion of one of India’s most successful OTT crime franchises. The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, and produced by Punit Krishna.
Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the film stars Pankaj Tripathi as Kaalin Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyendu as Munna Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee among others. The makers have pitched the film as a cinematic extension of the Mirzapur universe rather than a standalone reboot.
The film is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release in 2026. After its cinema release, Mirzapur: Movie Will be streamed exclusively on Prime Video across India and over 240 countries and territories.
