Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are one of the famous couples of Bollywood. The celebrity couple prefers to keep their relationship a secret but important one. Meanwhile, the actor who is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy film Khel Khel Mein, highlighted that he and his wife are completely different but it is the mutual respect that binds them together.
Recently, in a conversation with Galta India, Akshay Kumar talked about his relationship with his wife Twinkle Khanna. He said, “My wife and I are very different. We are completely different from each other. She thinks left, I think right. It is completely different. The only thing that is similar is that we like to sleep early, and we like to wake up early. Another thing we like is playing rugby or Ludo. We think completely differently about other things.”
The actor further said that these things do not matter. He said that “respect” and “giving each other space” are the most important things. The actor further said that an ideal couple should have 36 qualities in common. However, according to him, it does not matter if 35 qualities do not match, but if one quality of showing respect to each other matches, it is equal to all the other 36 qualities.
Interestingly, Akshay’s wife and actress Twinkle Khanna, who is a famous columnist, recently shared a funny anecdote from their vacation. She revealed that while they were heading back to camp, their guide introduced them to a pair of birds called Tik-Tik, who are so devoted to each other that when one dies, the other sometimes kills itself by eating poisonous grass.
She wrote, “I told my husband (Akshay), ‘Well (listen), if I die first, you better eat the poisonous grass too. If I see your second wife walking around with my handbag, I promise I will come and trouble you both.'” In response, the Khel Khel Mein actor jokingly replied that he wanted to eat the poisonous grass at that very moment so that he “doesn’t have to listen to all this nonsense.”
Akshay Kumar’s comedy film, Khel Khel Mein, also starring Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and others, will release in theatres on August 15, 2024.
