Recently, Akshay Kumar has seen more flops than hits. However, the actor is not bothered by this. He believes that it is not in his hands to decide the fate of a film. However, he is in complete control to give his best in his next film.

Recently, almost all of Akshay Kumar’s films like ‘Selfie’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Sarfira’ and others have flopped badly at the box office. In a recent interview, the actor compared it to the previous bad phase of his career when he saw 16 consecutive flops.

while talking to ForbesAkshay said, “There is a lot of blood, sweat and passion behind every film. It is heartbreaking to see any film fail. But you have to learn to look at the positive side as well. Every failure teaches you the value of success and makes you even more hungry for it. Luckily, I had already learnt to deal with it in my career. Of course, it hurts and affects you, but it will not change the fate of the film. It is not something that is in your control, what is in your control is to work hard, improve and give your all for your next film. That is how I channel my energy and try to move on to the next film, focus my energy where it matters the most.”

Despite several recent setbacks, Akshay remains at the top of his game. Talking about this, he said, “My biggest strength is my discipline and work ethic. I really follow a time-table. I sleep, eat and work at a specific time, and shoot for a specific number of hours. I have followed this for years. Staying mentally and physically fit has also played a key role in my longevity in the industry. My motivation is the genuine love for my work and making films on which the livelihood of so many people depends. Also, the support and love of my fans fuels my passion and commitment in this journey.”

Akshay spoke about how footfalls in theatres have reduced post Covid-19. “The pandemic has undoubtedly changed the dynamics of the film industry. Audiences have become more selective about watching cinema, so it has become important to choose projects that are thoroughly entertaining and unique. I have become more conscious about content, ensuring it resonates with the current times and delivers an experience that justifies a trip to the theatre. It’s about finding stories that not only entertain but also connect with the audience on a deeper level,” the actor said.

Talking about the work front, Akshay was last seen in ‘Sarfira’. After this he will be seen in ‘Khel Khel Mein’. It is a family entertainer film, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Amy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal and Fardeen Khan. The film will clash with ‘Stree 2’ at the box office on August 15.
