Akhand 2 Worldwide Closing Box Office Collection: Nandamuri Balakrishna Starrer Flops with Rs 112 Crore

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhand 2 has ended its overall performance at the box office. The Telugu film disappointed with its performance at the box office, as it neither had a good opening nor a promising trend.

Billed as the sequel to the 2021 super hit film, Akhanda, the latest Balayya film is set for just Rs. Earned Rs 112 crore at the worldwide box office in its lifetime. This is not a good figure for a franchise mass action film, especially when the original film was one of the first biggest hits of Telugu cinema post-pandemic.

Talking about its regional division, NBK Film earned Rs. Rs 36 crore from Andhra Pradesh. Rs 32 crore from Nizam. Earned Rs 16 crore from seeded. Rs 84 crore in its domestic markets. The rest of the Indian territories contributed about Rs 16 crore, of which Rs. 11 crores came from Karnataka alone. This brought its domestic box office earnings to Rs. Reached. Gross figure of 100 crores. The film was also released in Hindi dubbed audio, where it remained a silent cast.

Overseas markets contributed a disappointing total of US$1.35 million (₹12 crore) in its overall run, of which US$1 million came from North America. Interestingly, Balayya had two releases last year – Daku Maharaj and Akhand 2. While the former emerged as a successful venture, the latter flopped at the box office. The biggest reason behind its disappointing performance at the box office is its poor word-of-mouth. Had the film received a positive response, things would have been a little better.
