Actress Akansha Ranjan married filmmaker Sharan Sharma on July 11 in Mumbai in the presence of family and friends. Sharing the first pictures from the wedding on social media, Akansha shared a note for her husband, with friends from the film industry led by Alia Bhatt sending their best wishes in the comments.
Akansha and Sharan got married on the same date they started dating four years ago. The couple, who have kept their relationship largely private, exchanged vows during a sunset ceremony held in the garden of their residence before signing their marriage papers in an intimate celebration.

For the wedding, Akanksha wore a traditional red and gold outfit, while Sharan wore a white outfit. Pictures from the ceremony show Akansha getting emotional as the two took vows and signed the wedding papers. While sharing the pictures on his Instagram handle, he wrote, “You don’t feel like home, if you are there then there is no fear. (Without you home doesn’t feel like home, with you I’m not scared there) (sic),” along with an infinity emoji.
Actress Alia Bhatt led the congratulatory messages in the comments with sun emojis. Choreographer Pony Prakash, wife of actor Prakash Raj, wrote, “Congratulations my baby… God bless you.” Actress Wamiqa Gabbi commented, “Uff you guys, congratulations,” while Ananya Panday wrote, “Oh sweetie!!!! Love you all.” Others including actresses Malaika Arora, Athiya Shetty and producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Anshula Kapoor also sent love to the couple.
