It is feared that artificial intelligence will replace humans, prominent in industries. While experts argue that a complete acquisition is still a few years away, an area where AI is already starting to create its impression, is corporate communication. According to a new study, 1 out of 4 press releases and job posts are being written using AI Tools such as Pattp or Gemini.

A new study published in the journal pattern suggests that one of the four press releases since the public onset of the chip in November 2022 has been generated by AI Tools. During the study, researchers analyzed thousands of texts from platforms such as Newswire, Prweb, and Prnewswire (via Gizmodo).

Researchers also examined job posting on LinkedIn and other platforms. In his study, he discovered the AI-based language in about 6 to 10 percent of the listing, in which small companies reached about 15 percent. The study also saw a sharp increase in the AI-written English-language press release from the United Nations. According to the researchers, AI-based release from the United Nations increased from only 3 percent in 2023 to about 14 percent in 2024. The conclusions highlighted that the AI-related lessons have now become a daily specialty of both hiring and corporate messaging.

Interestingly, while AI adoption increased rapidly, it is now closing. According to the report, the press release in December 2023 reached the peak before the use of 24.3 percent AI before the use of that mark. The job listing showed a similar pattern, in which the AI-borne text reached a high point before closing the text. Although the United Nations communication continues to increase, development is taking place at a slow pace – suggesting that organizations may get a balance between human inspection and machine efficiency.

The study also discovered how individuals interact with AI writing equipment. By analyzing more than 687,000 complaints filed with the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau between 2022 and 2024, researchers found that about 18 percent was likely to be AI-assisted. Interestingly, people from low educational regions were more inclined to use AI to create complaints, challenging the notion that new technologies are mainly adopted by young or more educated users.
