Mansi cried while posing in front of the camera with the award. She shared the Best Actress award with Nithya Menen, who won the award for her performance in the Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam.
Mansi had earlier spoken about the honor and told India Today Digital, “I have been flooded with calls and messages and I have been crying for an hour and a half. Now I am fine. My make-up is completely fine. During the interview, Mansi also recalled her experience shooting for Kutch Express and said, “We were working very hard and always had the feeling that this film was going to be something magical. And even Ratna Pathak Even Shah, who is so experienced, came to me after five days of shooting and said, ‘Mansi, I am very proud and happy that this is my first Gujarati film, I am very proud to work with you and your husband. ‘ We all felt that it was a very special film, now, the National Award has confirmed it, but we were always very proud of this film.”
Directed by Viral Shah, Kutch Express also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary and Viraf Patel in lead roles.
