Actor Kala Hiran who left the film says he was cast for Salman’s link, Rajasthan roots

Actor Sonu Mamishra has challenged Kala Hiran director Bharat S Shrinet’s claim that he was never a part of the film. She has proved her association and also claimed that she was cast because of her relationship with Salman Khan.

In a detailed statement, Mamishra alleged that she was cast because of her Rajasthani roots and her relationship with Salman Khan, before leaving the film after she suspected that the film was attempting to take advantage of the superstar’s name.

Controversy started after Shrinet said news18 Mamishra was never a part of the film, which is inspired by the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

Responding to the comments, Mamishra questioned Shrinet’s version of events and pointed to what he described as documentary evidence of his involvement in the project.

“If the director claims he doesn’t know Sonu Mishra, I have some simple questions: On April 14, why was I invited through flight booking and token payment? Was I invited as a guest at a wedding, or as an actor for a film project?” He said.

According to Mamishra, the production arranged for her travel and hotel stay, after which she reported to the set on 16 April and shot for two days.

“During those two days, I participated in the shooting, faced the camera and performed my scenes. Was I there as a tourist, or as an actor working on the film?” He said.

The actor said that he also shared a clip of the behind-the-scenes of the shoot on Instagram on April 18, claiming that close-up shots of him and actor Govind Namdev can be seen in the video.

Mamishra further alleged that her relationship with the producers deteriorated after she asked for a complete script and a formal agreement.

He said, “The most important thing was that they did not even give me the complete script or sign an agreement with me. When I started shooting on the first day, I was only given the script of the scenes to be filmed that day.”

He claimed that the producers became uncomfortable when he requested a complete script and paperwork.

He further added, “These concerns ultimately led to creative differences and disputes between me and the director-producers. As a result of those creative disagreements, I decided to walk away from the film.”

Mamishra also alleged that she has not been paid for the two days she worked on the project.

He claimed, “Moreover, when I decided to leave the project, the director himself transferred money from his account for my return flight. Only after receiving that amount I was able to book my flight and return. These are documented facts. Despite completing my professional commitments during those two days, I have not received my dues.”

The actor alleges that the makers wanted someone related to Salman Khan.

Explaining why he believes he was cast, Mamishra alleged that the producers wanted someone who was related to Salman Khan.

“They chose me as the hero because I am from Rajasthan and have already worked with Salman Khan Alexander. However, when I realized that they were making a fake film by taking advantage of Salman Khan’s name and the Bishnoi community, I distanced myself from the project.”

He said, “I have always acted in accordance with my principles, ethics and professional standards. Unfortunately, it appears that my values ​​do not align with the intentions behind this project. The moment it became clear that I would not compromise my ethics, the situation changed.”

Rejecting Srinet’s claim that the two did not know each other, Mamishra said that the production records would tell a different story.

He said, “Today, claiming not to know me may seem like a convenient statement, but the facts speak for themselves. Records, transactions, travel arrangements, hotel bookings and shooting schedules clearly establish the professional association that existed. What is happening now is an attempt to avoid accountability and further questions.”

He further claimed that more people associated with the film will eventually come forward.

“More people associated with the project are coming forward and I believe many others will eventually share their experiences,” he said.

While saying that he respects the director’s opinion, Mamishra said that filmmakers should not indulge in “propaganda, misinformation, or attempts to damage another person’s reputation for personal gain”.

He said, “As far as the statement that the director doesn’t know me is concerned, I completely respect his opinion. Perhaps he still has a long journey to go in this industry. With more experience, more professionalism and commitment to honesty and integrity, he will one day know who Sonu Mishra is.”
