Mammootty is soon set to hit the big screen with Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The upcoming spy action film stars Mohanlal in the co-lead role, along with Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara and others in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on April 23, 2026.

Mammootty’s 5 films are going on floors in 2026
1. D55
D55 This is the tentative title of an upcoming espionage action thriller starring Dhanush in the lead role. Directed by Amaran fame Rajkumar Periyasamy, the film will star Mammootty in a pivotal role, which will also star Sreeleela and Sai Pallavi in important roles. The actor has reportedly started shooting for his portion and is expected to complete it by May 2026.
2. Nitish Sahdev Project
Mamukka had earlier announced his collaboration with Phalimi director Nitish Sahdev. According to reports, the film is scheduled to go on floors in June 2026 and will have an extensive shooting schedule of over 100 days. Although more details have been kept under wraps, there is speculation that the story may revolve around a young girl who will play the co-lead role.
3. Mattancherry Mafia
Mammootty recently announced his next film, mattancherry mafiaDirected by Thallumala fame Khalid Rehman. The film is expected to be a gangster drama, with Neslen and Asif Ali confirmed as co-leads. Reportedly, the project will commence in September 2026.
4. Kannur Squad 2 or CBI 6
Increasing the buzz around their lineup, Mammootty Hopefully he will greenlight a sequel to one of his hit franchises. Reports suggest that he may start work on Kannur Squad 2 or the sixth installment of the CBI franchise. Although details are scarce, the upcoming CBI film is rumored to be written by a new team and directed by veteran K. Initially, Marco producer Cubes Entertainment had announced a project starring Mammootty and directed by Khalid Rehman. However, the producers later denied this.
