One of the best things about childhood is watching cartoons and eating ice cream, candy and all kinds of forbidden junk food. As we grow up, we may still love ice cream, but somehow fail to match our childhood enthusiasm. Correct? Well, if you want to rekindle your love for fun foods, let us take you on a trip down memory lane by revisiting some of the iconic foods featured in our favorite and popular cartoons of the 90s Are. Prepare yourself for a dreamy and ‘food-tastic’ ride that will take you back to those wonderful, carefree days.

Here are 5 foods from the cartoon that every ’90s kid will remember:

1. Spinach from ‘Poppy the Sailor’

Many parents of ’90s kids are grateful to Popeye. Why? Whenever our favorite ‘Sailor Man’ needed strength to fight the bad guys, he would eat a can of spinach and be filled with super energy. Inspired by Popeye, many children used to eat their spinach or “palak” without any fuss and with great enthusiasm.

2. Cheese from ‘Tom and Jerry’

Restaurant and café menus these days can be filled with cheesy pizzas and sandwiches. However, during the 90s, cheese was still an indulgent cheese and something that was not easily available. Since kids love cheese, many of us were attracted to yellow cheese blocks with holes, as shown in the iconic ‘.Tom and Jerry‘ Cartoon show. We’d love to eat one of Jerry’s favorite snacks – a slice of that creamy cheese.

3. Bugs Bunny’s Carrot from ‘Looney Tunes Cartoons’

Another healthy food item that many kids love to snack on is carrots. There’s no point guessing which cartoon character likes these the most – the funny and funny Bugs Bunny. Be it a hunter looking to kill him or a jealous Daffy Duck looking for ways to swindle him, our favorite bunny character will easily fight through all the challenges while eating carrots. Don’t forget his iconic dialogue while eating carrots-”Eh, what’s the matter friend? (Eh…what’s going on, doctor?)”

4. ‘Oswald’ Big Banana

Did you love Oswald as a child? Who are we kidding? Chances are, you still do. Oswald is kind and caring, loving and nurturing. This blue octopus is a loving friend and a great neighbor. Oswald likes to do different activities with his friends. Do you remember the time when he grew bananas in his home? It was so big that it took up space in the entire living room. In pure Oswald fashion, he shared it with everyone and they celebrated the Big Banana Festival.

5. Food Machines from ‘The Jetsons’

This cartoon show depicts the Jetson family living in an ideal future. In the future, people will not need to cook and will be able to prepare any meal at the click of a button. ‘Foodrackcycle’ is a food serving machine that prepares and delivers any meal at the touch of a button. They also have a machine called the ‘Manulator’, which allows you to make any sandwich by declaring whatever you want in the filling. Great, right?
