Remembering the legendary singer in his nostalgic Instagram post, Aman wrote, “Oh you’re 19 and ambitious and experimental and on the verge of your big break! Oh my god! Is it the years or the marijuana that has brought back memories of my shooting.” Damo Damo Damo In a sublime mist? I have already told the story of the shoot, so this throwback is in the memory of Asha ji.”

He expressed his gratitude by giving credit for his successful film career to this song. The actor also recalled that earlier it was supposed to be a duet sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Usha Uthup.

“As I mentioned in my previous post, he gifted me the soundtrack to my success and it started with this song! Interestingly, Damo Damo Damo Originally it was a duet sung by Asha ji’s phenomenal elder sister Lata ji and the powerhouse talent i.e. Usha Uthup. But RD Burman had other plans, and he felt the song needed the soulful voice that Asha ji had,” said Aman.

“Anyway, I’m sharing my previous post on this song in my stories. For now, enjoy this clip, and if you have your own story to share Damo Damo DamoPlease post it on my comments. It gives me great pleasure to read about your experiences and engagement with the films I have worked on. I know for a fact that hundreds of you ladies have dressed up like Janice/Jasbir for this or that Bollywood theme party,” the actor concluded.

Bhosale died on 12 April at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. According to his granddaughter Zanai, he was admitted to the hospital a day earlier after complaining of a chest infection and exhaustion. The great singer was cremated with full state honors on April 13 at the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar.

The ashes of the late singer were immersed in the Ganga in Varanasi by her family. Prayers and traditional rites were conducted as per Bhosale’s wishes.
