Zarine Khan’s last rites were performed with Hindu rituals in Mumbai on Friday. The video of the ceremony shows her son and actor Zayed Khan controlling his tears at the ceremony.

Many videos of Zarine Khan’s funeral have surfaced, in which her son Zayed Khan is seen very emotional while performing her last rites. The ceremony was held at Juhu crematorium in Mumbai on Thursday.
The footage shows the actor struggling to hold back his tears while completing the rituals.
Close family members and close friends attended the ceremony. Zarine’s daughter Sussanne Khan was seen carrying her mother’s body along with her son and sisters, never taking their eyes off her mother’s face.
Zareen’s husband Sanjay Khan looked grief-stricken and folded his hands in front of the gathered mourners as cameras respectfully captured the scene.
Apart from the immediate family, several notable Bollywood celebrities visited Sanjay Khan’s residence to express their condolences. These included Rani Mukherjee, Kajol, Jaya Bachchan, Jackie Shroff and Shabana Azmi. On reaching there, Bobby Deol was seen holding back his tears.
Sussanne Khan’s ex-husband, actor Hrithik Roshan, was present to support her and later attended Zarine Khan’s funeral along with Saba Azad.
Zareen, who died at her Mumbai residence following an age-related illness, is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and four children – Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed.
Before marrying Sanjay in 1966, Zareen appeared in Hindi films for some time. These include ‘Tere Ghar Ke Samne’ and ‘Ek Phool Do Mali’.
Her relationship with Sanjay reportedly began with a chance meeting at a bus stop, which eventually led to their long partnership.
Her son Zayed Khan had shared a love-filled post for his mother earlier this year. He wrote, “Nothing can truly be achieved without your mother’s blessings. Love and peace.”
Sussanne had also expressed her appreciation in the birthday post. She wrote, “Everything I do and everything I create in my life all depends on how you shaped my heart, my mind, and my patience. I am so honored and grateful to be your little girl.”
The Khan family has requested privacy as they mourn Zareen’s death. Friends and well-wishers from the film industry have expressed their condolences to the family.
