Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah are two big giants of the Indian music world. They have delivered many memorable songs, but they have a strained relationship that shows no signs of patching up. Recently, Honey Singh, who remained silent on the issue for years, revealed that he recently decided to respond against the Genda Phool singer after persistent requests from his fans.
In a new interview with India Today, Honey Singh opened up about his long-standing differences with Badshah. He called out the rapper for criticizing him, making personal attacks and mocking his illness in various public forums. Singh emphasized that the Tareefan singer had targeted him for more than a decade, yet he was silent about it.
But, for the last one year, Honey Singh has been actively responding to every allegation leveled against him. He revealed that he decided to do it because his fans used to message him and say that it was an honor for them.
He recalled, “My fans sent me messages saying, ‘Please speak out, this is about our dignity now.’ A man (Badshah) is constantly speaking bad about you.”
Earlier, during Grapefest 2024, the Let’s Nacho singer had expressed his desire to end his long-running feud with Honey Singh. But, the latter is in no mood for it and believes that Badshah will again make personal attacks on him after some time.
Singh said, “He’s one of those who spits and then licks it; just watch, he’ll turn around again. I don’t consider such people anything.”
For those unaware, both the singers used to be part of a rap group called Mafia Mundir, which was owned by Honey Singh and comprised Raftaar, Ikka and Lil Golu. But there was a big public disagreement between Singh and the king and everyone parted ways. Since then, both the singers have been at odds with each other.
