Yami Gautam’s performance Right Praise has been pouring in, with filmmaker Farah Khan being the latest actress to appreciate the actor. After watching the film on Netflix, Farah shared a note appreciating Yami’s work, adding to the positive response the courtroom drama has been receiving.
After its theatrical performance, Right premiered on netflixWhere it has got a wide audience. Farah Khan shared a poster of the film on social media and praised the lead cast. He wrote, “Yami Gautam, get ready to win every award! Excellent performance.” Farah also praised Emraan Hashmi and said, “You are the best ever.”
Soon after Farah’s appreciation, Kiara also praised the film. Sharing his reaction after watching it on Netflix, he wrote, “Just watched Right On Netflix. Yami Gautam, what a beautiful performance.”
A few days ago, Yami had expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the love the film is receiving. In a long note shared on social media, the actor started writing, “Before we start a new Friday in films, especially as this one is going to be an important and special one (for me personally :-)), I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude.”
Reflecting on the film’s journey, he said, “In this new era of constant surround sound as the benchmark for many critics, many cinephiles, many trade-analysts as to whether a film is successful or not, from day one – with the biggest Monday, the loudest Tuesday, the fastest Wednesday, came my little film – #HAQ! Thank you for giving it so much respect, integrity and honor.”
Yami also shared how a phrase that emerged during the release of the film affected her deeply. “Having said that, every film has its own journey and it comes with a learning process, which I pay very careful attention to. During this release, I came across a phrase – ‘Yami ka Haq’, courtesy of very sweet and kind media members and audiences.”
Talking about recognition and her journey as an artiste, she wrote, “As an artiste, I still don’t know what true recognition would be for me and what my ‘right’ one could be. But I think, the beauty of my profession lies in this mystery. And that is what will propel me forward, to give my best, to seek out fresh stories, to fearlessly guide from the heart.”
