Introduction
Nearly six months after its premiere in China, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro has finally launched globally. With an incredibly strong lineup of basic accessories and a super competitive price it’s one of the most powerful tablets on the market.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro isn’t the first tablet with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but it’s an interesting tablet for several other reasons.

The Pad 8 Pro features an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels or an average density of 344 ppi. The panel has 12-bit color depth, 144Hz refresh rate, and supports all the popular HDR standards like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The flagship hardware is paired with UFS 4.1 storage. There are high-resolution cameras at both ends. Another interesting thing is the massive 9,200mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
The tablet boots the latest HyperOS 3 with multi-tasking options and AI features.

There’s still no cellular-enabled version, which is a potential deal-breaker for some power users.
Unboxing the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro comes inside a thin paper box that houses the tablet and a 6A-rated USB-A-to-C cable.

There’s no charger in the EU box, but elsewhere you should get a 67W power adapter as part of the retail bundle.
