Work Ethics of Shankar, Director of Game Changer Editor Slams: Was a terrible experience

‘Game Changer’ editor Shemer Muhammad recently called director Shankar’s disgrace in an interview. He said that filmmaker would change 10 days late for editing and called it a ‘terrible experience’.

‘Game Changer’ editor Shemer Muhammad recently called director Shankar’s unprofessional work Ethics. The technician claimed that he spent almost a year in Chennai and had to leave the film from midway. He further said that the film was about 7-7.5 hours long and had dropped it down for 2.5-3 hours.

I had a sketch here (Kerala), so I came at the time when I was editing, the film was 7-7.5 hours long. I made it three and a half hours. After that, a new editor came and reduced it for 2.5-3 hours.

Shemer Muhammad claimed that it was working with director Shankar. He said, “This was a terrible experience for me to work with Shankar. I went there with great enthusiasm, but there were things happening in some other world.”

He said, “He will fix a date for editing, but he will change only after ten days. The same pattern continued for several days, and I finished staying in Chennai for 300–350 days.”

After she came out of the project, editor Ruben was brought on the ship. He said that he had already rejected a lot of films as he was working on ‘Game Changer’. “Then I left the film. If I had left ‘Arm’ and ‘Marco’ for ‘Game Changer’, it would have been a terrible mistake,” they explained.

‘Game Changer’ was released in theaters in January 2025 during the Syncranti holidays. The film received a lukewarm response equally from critics and audiences.

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani-starrer is a political action drama about a government official who goes against corrupt officials. The film was allegedly produced on a large scale of Rs 400 crore, but reports suggest that it did not break even in many areas.
