Will the Indian stock market be closed for Eid on March 31? Check the details here

The Indian stock markets will be closed on Monday, March 31 in the Eid-ul-FITR inspection, before trading resumes on Tuesday, April 1, will give a wide break to traders over the weekend.

BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will postpone the trade of equity, derivatives, currency markets, securities and securities landing (SLB) and electronic gold receipts (EGR) for holiday on March 31. Markets on Saturday (March 29) and Sunday (March 30) have already closed, with investors plans to plan their business.

The Indian stock exchanges follow a five -day workwack, which is operating from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm on Monday to Friday. According to the Calendar Lander of Exchange, the markets are closed on the weekend and designate public holidays. Except for any special sessions announced by the exchanges, the business resumes the day after regular trade holidays.

A significant Islamic festival, which marks the end of Ramzan, is widely observed across India with Eid-ul-firm, prayer, donation and celebration.

      In 2025, traders should also prepare for 14 schedule market holidays. April three will bring market holidays – Shiri Mahavir Jayanti (April 10), DR.

      The markets will also be closed on May 1 for Maharashtra Day, followed by Independence Day (15 August Gust) and Ganesh Chaturthi (August Gust 27).

      The final quarter of 2025 includes Gandhi Jayanti and the breaks of Dashehara (2 October), Diwali festival (21-22 October) and Prakash Gurupab (November 5). Trade will end for the year with holiday on Christmas (December 25).
