Hollywood actor Will Smith joined the list of celebrities who congratulated Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8. Reacting to their announcement post, Will extended his wishes in the comments.

Taking to their Instagram on Sunday, September 8, Ranveer and Deepika announced the arrival of their daughter. In a joint post, the couple wrote, “Welcome, baby girl! 8.09.2024 (sic).” Will reacted to the post, writing, “Congratulations mom and dad.”

Apart from Will Smith, several celebrities congratulated Ranveer and Deepika on the arrival of their daughter. Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Parineeti Chopra, PV Sindhu and Shraddha Kapoor among many others extended their wishes.

Deepika was admitted to the hospital around 5 pm on September 7. The actress was rushed to the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai along with her mother Ujjala Padukone.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married in a lavish ceremony at Lake Como in Italy in December 2018. It was a double wedding that honoured the cultural heritage of both Ranveer and Deepika. They first got married following South Indian rituals, followed by an Anand Karaj ceremony. The couple announced their pregnancy in February this year.
