Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor has reportedly been selected for Karan Johar’s upcoming reality show The Traitors. In a report published by Zoom, it has been revealed that she has become the second contestant to be finalised for this Prime Video show, the first being Anupamaa fame Sudhanshu Pandey.
Anshula Kapoor is a supporter of body positivity and will soon be seen in the show, which is set to be a Hindi adaptation of an American reality series of the same name. The Traitors will first premiere on Peacock in 2023 and is designed as a psychological competition based on the Dutch series De Verraders.
The show’s setting was a remote Scottish castle, where 20 contestants, including both celebrities and ordinary people, compete in a game of strategy and deception. According to the original format, the contestants are divided into two groups: traitors and loyalists. The traitors must work together in secret to eliminate the loyalists, while the loyalists must try to identify and exterminate the traitors before they can kill them.

Each episode features challenges that allow the group to earn a collective prize money, but imposters secretly work to reduce the number of loyalists. The show is known for its intense psychological drama, strategic gameplay, and suspenseful elimination process where players must decide who to trust in an environment filled with lies and betrayal.
As far as the Indian adaptation is concerned, Zoom has revealed a slightly different format and compared it to the party game Mafia. According to their report, a group of contestants will have to deal with tasks and challenges and then the host will select contestants and make them traitors. Karan will then ask these traitors to eliminate the loyal contestants.
We are excited to know which more celebrities or commoners will make it to the confirmed list of traitors. Talking about Sudhanshu Pandey, the actor recently quit the extremely popular TV show Anupamaa and one of the major reasons for his exit is being named a traitor. Zoom suggests that the veteran actor is being paid a lot of money to participate in Karan Johar’s reality show.
