Why JD Vance is the only meme that you are watching on social media

There is a new political meme star in the United States. Vice President JD Vance has captured social media, became the subject of countless memes after his fiery confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky at the White House on 28 February.

During the Tens Oval Office meeting on Friday, Vance rapidly questioned the Zelanceci’s request for additional American funding, challenged their credibility, and issued a clear warning – suggesting that Ukraine could lose American support if it does not accept the conditions on the offer. The exchange, which allegedly left diplomatic relations between Washington and Kiev, was severely stressful, quickly ignited a storm online.

Social media users did not waste any time to make fun of Vance, converting it into an internet spectacle. On platforms such as X (East Twitter), memes depicted the vice -president in exaggerated forms – from a overweight demon to ogre, and even holding a lollipop to a child.

A special moment that fuel the online frenzy was repeatedly suppressing the Vance Zelansky with this question: “Did you also thank?” Some people show a heavy edited version of JD Vance, which consists of plump lips, smooth airbrush skin and groom eyebrows.

During the hot exchange on 28 February, Vance criticized Zelancesi’s request for additional American funding, calling it unfair to “litigation in front of American media”. President Trump refused to compromise in Ukraine’s position and also entered the ground, accusing Zelancesi of “World War III”. Backlash against Vance did not stop online.
