Madhavan told that at the time of the celebration he was abroad for a shoot. He said, “I was shooting abroad when the event happened and couldn’t go back in time. I really missed it and wish I was there with all of them to celebrate this iconic film.”
The reunion was initially scheduled for January but was postponed after a tragic incident. On January 28, a plane crash occurred in Baramati, Maharashtra, killing several people, including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
According to Madhavan, the decision to delay the event was taken in view of the tragedy. He said, “Naturally we didn’t want to celebrate at that time. It was a very sad, heartbreaking incident.”
The cast and crew gathered at the reunion in themed attire, with the team wearing hoodies emblazoned with the film’s title. They posed for photographs outside the venue before attending a special screening.
