Pawan Kalyan, famous in both cinema and politics, recently gifted a brand new Land Rover Defender to director Sujeet. This gesture was after the box office success of his film they call him OGWhich collected more than Rs 300 crore worldwide. The gift caught the attention of fans and the film industry and highlighted the teamwork behind the film’s success.
Beyond Pawan Kalyan’s dedication and efficiency, there is a heart-touching story behind Pawan Kalyan gifting a car to Sujeet. During the final stages of shooting, a significant schedule needed to be filmed in Japan. Budget constraints made it difficult for the production team to approve foreign shooting. Determined to complete the film as he envisioned, Sujeeth made a significant personal sacrifice.
Sujeeth sold his own Land Rover Defender to finance the Japan programme, using the proceeds to travel and film essential scenes. This act came to the attention of Pawan Kalyan during the dubbing phase of the film and, deeply impressed by the director’s dedication, Kalyan decided to gift Sujeeth a brand new car of the same model. The Land Rover Defender, which was estimated to be worth around Rs 3 crore, was handed over to Sujeet, with Pawan Kalyan also agreeing to pay the EMI for the car.
Reacting to the gift, Sujeet expressed his gratitude by posting pictures of the new car on social media and wrote, “Best gift ever. Overwhelmed and grateful beyond words. The love and encouragement from my dearest OG, Kalyan garu, means everything to me. From being a childhood fan to this special moment. Forever indebted (sic).”
Pawan Kalyan, who is the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is a superstar of Telugu cinema with a career spanning nearly three decades.
