Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in a simple and intimate ceremony at their home in April 2022. Alia has often spoken about how comfortable she was on her wedding day. Recently, she shared that her makeup artist asked for two hours to complete her makeup on her D-day, but she refused.

Speaking to women’s magazine Allure, Alia admitted that she has attention deficit disorder (ADD). She also revealed that she doesn’t like spending too much time in the makeup chair and wants her look to be “simple and accessible”.

“It has to be something that you can do very quickly. I have ADD (attention deficit disorder) and I’m not interested in taking too long. Whatever has to be done has to be done as quickly as possible,” Alia said, adding that she doesn’t spend more than 45 minutes in the makeup chair.

However, her makeup artist requested that she give him two hours on her wedding day. “On my wedding day, my makeup artist Punit (B. Saini) said, ‘Alia, this time you have to give me two hours.’ I told him, ‘You’re crazy. Especially on my wedding day, I’m not giving you two hours because I want to rest,'” Alia revealed.

Alia and Ranbir dated for almost five years before getting married in April 2022. Alia always wanted her wedding to be a candid and simple affair, and that is what she had told her wedding photographer as well.

In an earlier interview with Brut, Siddharth Sharma, founder of House On The Clouds, said, “With Alia, the brief was very simple: it’s a very private affair, and she wanted to keep it very personal, so the photos and videos had to be very personal, candid and real. Rishi Kapoor’s photo was placed at almost every ceremony, as if he was present.”

Alia Bhatt is currently awaiting the release of her film Zigara. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Vedang Raina.
