HBO’s The Last of As Season 2 wraps the audience with a powerful, emotional closing that takes the audience deeply in the path of revenge for Ellie. The episode ends in total chaos, while crossing the path again with AB and Ellie. But did Ellie survived? And who did not make it alive?
Ellie began the closing with Dina with the truth about Joel’s works in Salt Lake City. Shortly thereafter, Ellie and Jessie took out the head to find Tommy. Stress increases when they separate after an argument. Ellie’s discovery for AB leads her to a tragic moment – she kills Owen and Mail in the aquarium, only to feel that the mail was pregnant.
Back to the theater, AB finds them. She shoots Jessie and pointed to a gun on Tommy. Ellie comes out of hiding, and AB says, “I let you live. And you ruined it.” A gun pellet rings, and the screen fade for black – leaves Ellie’s fate uncertain.
Earlier in the episodes, we also look at quiet moments, such as Dina learns the truth for Ellie’s wounds and Joel. The battle of Jessie and Ellie suggests that stress has changed their group. Tommy tries to keep them together, but the return of AB changes everything.
This episode then jumps back in the time of “Seattle: Day 1”, where AB is seen inside WLF’s stadium headquarters. He is called to meet with Isaac as the group prepares for the upcoming fight. It is clear that something big is coming.
One major character already dead and the other left in danger, Finale leaves fans with more questions. Did AB really shoot Ellie? Or cut the scene before we could see the truth? For now, we can all wait for Season 3 to find out who survived – and what is next for both AB and Ellie.
