Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone recently shared an incident which included a director’s comment on her commitment to motherhood. In September 2024, the actor, who welcomed his first child, Dua Padukone Singh, revealed that the director made a comment that suggested that she was taking maternity very seriously.

Deepika, who marries actor Ranveer Singh, often makes headlines for her professional and personal life. The actor has not publicly announced any plan about his future projects after Dua’s birth, and the director’s comment seemed to be fun.

In an interview with Maier clairShe mentioned how she could not meet the said director because she needed to spend time with Dua. “She wandered around and said, Oh, it seems that she is taking maternity very seriously. I don’t know if it was a praise or a jab. What does it mean, taking maternity seriously? Yes, I am definitely, of course,” she said.

Additionally, the 39 -year -old mentioned how Ranveer and he combine when it comes to his daughter and how they provide for every need. Deepika said, “Are these films that I want to do, how do I want to live my life or things that I am really emotional, and beyond that, it doesn’t matter what someone else thinks. I am someone who has always been able to get out and only listen to my instinct.”

Deepika said that she did zero in the name Dua, an Arabic word for prayer from poetry and music. “It felt like a beautiful summary that she matters to us and why she means what she means to us,” she explained.

Deepika Padukone is currently on a break from work with her daughter, Dua. It has been reported that she will soon start working in the sequel of director Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 Advertisement’.
