When Farhan Akhtar and Shibani went for couple therapy a few days after marriage; ‘Our therapist was like this…’

VJ-turned-actress Shibani Akhtar is living a happy married life with actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar. Ever since they are together, the couple keeps setting relationship goals on social media. Shibani married Farhan in 2022 after dating for three years. Did you know that Farhan and Shibani went for couple therapy a few days after their wedding? The model and actress recalled it, saying that their therapist was surprised that they came just 24 hours after the wedding.

During a new conversation with actress Rhea Chakraborty on her podcast Chapter 2, Shibani Akhtar opened up about undergoing couple therapy with Farhan Akhtar before and after marriage.

Recalling her therapy visit after marriage, Shibani said, “We got married on a Monday. We got married on a Monday and our next scheduled appointment was on a Wednesday. I remember when we walked in, our therapist asked, ‘Why are you guys here? You got married just 24 hours ago?'”

The Noor actress further revealed that the couple started taking this therapy during their love affair. She said that couple therapy is like going to the gym because you have to constantly work on it.

Shibani recalled the days when the couple had nothing to talk about during therapy and would just stare at each other. She said that sometimes they needed more than an hour to discuss their relationship.

Shibani Akhtar emphasised on how couple therapy has a positive impact on dealing with fights between them. The former VJ revealed that whenever there is a fight in the house, she wants to sort things out, but the actors usually wait for the day of therapy to discuss it.

In the same podcast, Farhan opened up about his daughters Shakya and Akira and how he handled himself after his divorce from his first wife Adhuna Bhabani. Farhan said that he feels “extremely guilty” towards his daughters.

On the work front, Farhan Akhtar has the film 120 Bahadur in the pipeline in which he will play PVC Major Shaitan Singh. Farhan will direct Ranveer Singh’s Don 3, which is the third part of the filmmaker’s Don franchise. He is also working on Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
