The first day of the monsoon session of Parliament witnessed intense protests by the chauvinist Janata Party in central Delhi, leading to clashes with security forces. BJP MP Hema Malini urged talks over the disruption and assured that the government would take appropriate action on the issues raised.
The first day of the monsoon session of Parliament saw protests on the streets of central Delhi, with clashes between protesters and security forces during the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) ‘Sansad Chalo’ march. Reacting to the protests, BJP MP and actress Hema Malini questioned what the protesters were trying to achieve by disrupting the proceedings.
She said such matters should be resolved through dialogue rather than protests, adding that she did not want to comment much on the issue and said the government would take an appropriate stand.

“By disturbing them and involving them in things, what will they get?You should be happy doing something good (If you harass them and drag them into these matters, what do you expect them to achieve? You should be happy doing something good)” Hema Malini said.
“I would not like to say much on this subject, for which stand to be taken, our government will take it equally. (I don’t want to say much on this subject; our government will definitely take an appropriate stand),” he said.

The 77-year-old actor also referred to the Ayodhya Ram temple theft case and said that those who have done wrong will be punished, whoever they are. He said many people have already been sent to jail and the government will ensure that justice is served.
All about CJP’Let’s go to Parliament’ Oppose
CJP had called for a march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament demanding education reforms and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.
The protests coincided with the opening day of the monsoon session, leading to heightened security in central Delhi and around the Parliament complex. There were repeated clashes between protesters and police as protesters attempted to push past the security barricades.
Security forces fired tear gas shells, lathicharged and brought in anti-riot vehicles as authorities worked to control the situation.
With the monsoon session underway inside Parliament, security was tightened across the area.
