Vivo set the benchmark with the X300 Ultra – a €2,000 camera flagship – while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a “modest” €1,500 price tag. Now the Oppo Find X9 Ultra wants to take on the competition with a mid-range price of €1,700. The phone certainly impressed in our review, although the outcome of the final battle of Vivo vs Oppo Ultra is yet to be decided.
We also used the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. This kit includes a 300mm add-on lens, an adapter for a 67mm filter, and a lens collar with a tripod mount.

If you think that kit is a bit much, you might also think the X9 Ultra is too much – casual users will be better served by the Oppo Find X9 Pro. The Ultra is only worth the money if you want to get the most out of the camera system. That doesn’t mean the Hasselblad kit is a must-have – the phone’s four on-board lenses are more than capable without outside help, but the “extras” are what this phone is all about.

Anyway, the Find X9s is a cheaper variant of the X9. It uses Dimensity 9500s instead of the regular 9500s. Despite its name, the X9s chipset has more in common with the Dimensity 9400 than the 9500. The “S” phone also loses the wireless charging option for its 7,025mAh battery, but the capacity and wired charging (80W) are the same.
