Directed by Laxman Utekar and backed by Dinesh Vijan, Chava is an upcoming period-drama film based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. While Vicky will play the lead role in the film, Rashmika will be seen playing his wife Yesubai Bhosale.
It is worth noting that last year in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Vicky had talked about this film and admitted how much fun he had while making the film and at the same time he worked hard. He said, “This is a first for me. It is a period drama, but we are making it very seriously and it has a lot of action; it has a lot of drama; it has a lot of emotions and it is a really great story.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, she recently tasted success with her last release Bad Newz, which co-starred Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk and was directed by Anand Tiwari. Rashmika’s last Bollywood film was Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
