WATCH: Thalapathy Vijay folds hands, kisses fans before leaving Malaysia
Actor Thalapathy Vijay left Malaysia for Chennai on Sunday after the audio launch of his upcoming film Janaa Nayagan. The event attracted approximately 100,000 fans and set a new attendance record.

In a video, Vijay was seen arriving at the airport gate, where he smiled and waved at the cheering crowd. He folded his hands, blew a kiss and pointed at his fans, who responded with excitement and laughter. After the last wave, he walked away from those who had gathered for him.

Dressed in a gray T-shirt, beige jacket and denim jeans, Vijay took time out to connect with his fans before leaving. Another video shows her acknowledging fans’ support by accepting gifts including a bag and a bouquet of flowers.
About 100,000 fans attended the event, held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on 27 December. This set a new record in the Malaysian Book of Records for the largest number of spectators at such an event.
During the event, Vijay addressed the audience and expressed his intention to “quit the cinema” to “stand up” for his supporters.
The event featured live musical performances and emotional speeches, with tight security measures in place and Malaysian police directing a ban on political discussions. Artists like Tipu, Anuradha Sriram and Sandhvi performed songs from the film, which added to the spectacle.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jan Naygan It also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, Priyamani and Naren. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on January 9, 2026. Along with Pongal, the film will clash with two other major releases. Raja Saab And Parashakti.
