Alia Bhatt channels her inner Safina, complains about Ranbir in new ad with Shah Rukh
A humorous advertisement has taken the internet by storm, in which Alia Bhatt’s character Safina discusses her relationship troubles with Ranbir Kapoor (Bunny) to Shah Rukh Khan (Dr. Jahangir).
A recent advertisement featuring Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and superstar Shah Rukh Khan has taken the internet by storm. The viral ad features Alia reprising her iconic role of Safina from Gully Boy, in which she jokingly confronts Shah Rukh Khan’s character Dr. Jahangir about her on-screen partner Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Bunny. Complains in style.
The playful banter between Alia and Shahrukh has enthralled the audience, with Safina even threatening to “dhoptuingi” (beat up) Ranbir’s character. The ad cleverly blends humor and charm, highlighting the undeniable chemistry between the trio.
In the ad, Alia’s Safina (from Gully Boy) humorously talks to SRK’s Dr. Jahangir (from Dear Zindagi) about her on-screen (and off-screen) husband, Ranbir’s bunny (from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani). Complains. The ad begins with Shahrukh inquiring about the couple’s married life.
Alia replies, “I asked him to bring ice, but he went to Ladakh instead. When I asked him why he was so busy, he said, ‘The mountains were calling.’ Well, if he keeps flirting with the mountains, I’ll have to teach him a lesson!” She comes across openly displaying her peppy gully boy personality.
Ranbir’s bunny defends himself by quoting his iconic line, “Doctor Jahangir, I want to fly, I want to run, I just don’t want to live in this house.” When Shah Rukh asked why, Ranbir replied- “I climbed on the ledge to watch the sunset and it broke. I don’t feel safe anymore.”
