Malayalam actress Swasika is making headlines after denying a role with Ram Charan. The upcoming film directed by actor Buchi Babu Sana is set to appear in Peddi.
While the cinematic piece is highly anticipated by fans, the actress’s decision comes as a major shock. In an interview clip on social media, the film star revealed that he was asked to play the role of Charan’s mother in the film, despite that he was 7 years younger than that.
Swasika said that this is a big budget film and in Telugu, she is not yet ready to play the role of a mother. It may be that in the future she will pick up such characters, but not yet.
Swasika opens on denying the role of a film in front of Ram Charan
Talking to the media portal, Swasika revealed, “I was repeatedly asked to play the role of a mother. But what I was the most shocked was to play the role of Ram Charan’s mother.” He said, “It is in Telugu, it is a big film called Peddi. But, to play the role of Ram Charan’s mother? I said that I did not want to do it and did not tell them.”
The actress said, “I did not feel the need to play such a role at this point in my career. Perhaps later in life, but not now.”
Meanwhile, soon after the interview went viral on social media platforms, fans reacted to the actress’s decision.
One of the users, taking it to his X account, said, “She is correct. In a film called Veera Simha Reddy, a 31 -year -old actress was a mother and a 39 -year -old actress was a 65 -year -old -year -old girlfriend of a 65 -year -old hero.
Another fan wrote, “She can play a pair for Ram Charan. She looks gorgeous and has a capacity as an actor.”
For Peddi, the film will also show Shiv Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu. The film is going to hit theaters in 2026.
