War 2 and Kooli are two latest big budget films. Despite humble production costs, both films were seen as potential contenders for a club of Rs 1000 crore at the box office worldwide. However, none of them can turn pre-relief projections into reality.
War 2 is far behind the global front
Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR -led War 2 opened at the box office with a gross of Rs 79 crore and saw a weekend of Rs 257 crore in 4 days. It began on a disappointing note, which became one of the major reasons behind a wide difference in its collection compared to the total cum of the cool. For records, Rajinikanth film started runs on day 1 with Rs 150 crore and started more than Rs 371 crore in the first weekend.
By the end of the second weekend, War 2 earned more than Rs 335.45 crore, while Cool broke a mark of Rs 459 crore and established a major leadership of Rs 124 crore. According to estimates, the YRF Spy Universe film added Rs 3.75 crore to its second Monday, while Cool grossed around Rs 4.5 crore. The 12-day worldwide cum of War 2 and the porter of Rs 339.20 crore and the gross of Rs 463.50 crore respectively.
Collectively, both films made a cumulative gross of Rs 802.75 crore. With the arrival of the supreme beautifies at the end of this week, war 2 and cool are soon moving towards their dramatic end.
