Amerald Fennell’s new film Attruration of Wuting Heights has released its first trailer, with Emily Bronte’s classic novel a bold and eroticly charged. The project saw Margot Robbie as Catherine Arneshow and Jacob AleorD as Heathcliffe. Phenel, who won the Oscar for the promising young woman, directs the film, who is set to enter theaters on Valentine’s Day next year.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Alfardi led artists
The film has a strong dress, including Hong Chow, Martin Calloon and adolescent breakout Owen Cooper. Margot Robbie, who recently led the global hit Barbie, will appear in a big bold beautiful journey in front of Colin Fareel later this month. Jacob Alardi, known for Euphoria, Priscilla and Swift Horse, will be the next star in Guillermo del Toro’s Francustein.
Speaking about the project earlier this year, Alfardy told Deadline: “Performance from all – it’s breathtaking. It’s an incredible romance. It is a true epic. It is a true epic. It is visually beautiful. The script is beautiful. Prostitutes are unreliable.”
How was Emerald Fennal’s Wothing Heights made?
The film gave rise to a major dialect war in 2024 after Fennell’s Saltburn’s streaming success. Guardian reports suggest that Netflix offered US $ 150 million, but Warner Brothers gained 80 million USD rights, with both Fennell and Robbie favored a dramatic release.
Initial test screening attracted mixed reactions. Some spectators reportedly described it as “aggressively stimulating and tons abrasive”. A controversial scene, which included a public hanging, was excluded for its shocking imagination.
Hoardings promoting the film have already gone up with the tagline “Drive Me Mad” in the US and Britain, which is also included in the trailer.
Why Jacob Alfardi’s casting argued as Heathcliffe
The choice of casting Alardi as Heathcliffe has attracted backlash from some fans of the novel who noted the description of the character of the Bronte as a dark skin. Casting Director Karmel Kochan addressed criticism earlier this year. “There was an Instagram comment stating that the casting director should be shot,” he said. “But just wait until you see it, and then you can decide whether you want to shoot me or not. But you don’t have to really need to be accurate. It’s just a book. It’s not based on real life. It is all art.”
What do you expect from new adaptation here
The 1939 edition of William Vayler and the 2011 film of Andrea Arnold have been adapted several times before. The version of Fennel promises to be a more intense and visually adventurous interpretation, aimed at bringing new energy to the timeless story of bronze, revenge and passion.
With Robbie and Aloudi at the Center, and Warner Brothers supported a dramatic release, the film is expected to be one of the most talked about Valentine’s Day release in 2026.
