After launching the Vivo Y300 Plus last month, the company has released its standard variant in India – Vivo Y300 5G. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and packs a 5,000mAh battery. It comes in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB, with prices starting at Rs 21,999. The smartphone is powered by a capable Sony IMX882 main camera, paired with AI Aura Light and 2x Portrait feature, allowing users to capture sharp, natural-looking portraits, Vivo claims. The smartphone comes with advanced AI camera features, including AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance that promise to improve the clarity of photos.
Vivo Y300 5G: Price and availability
The Y300 will be available in three color options – Titanium Silver, Emerald Green and Phantom Purple, and will be priced at Rs 21,999 (including taxes) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 23,999 (including taxes) for the 8GB RAM. +256GB variant. Consumers can purchase the smartphone on Vivo India e-store, Flipkart, Amazon, and all partner retail stores from November 26, 2024. Pre-bookings for the Y300 will start from November 21 and will run till November 25, 2024.
To make shopping even more exciting, the company is offering bank discounts using SBI cards, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, BoB cards, Federal Bank and other banking partners. It is offering instant cashback of Rs 2000 or easy EMIs of Rs 43 per day on the purchase of Vivo Y300.
Additionally, it is also offering the Vivo TWS 3e at a discounted price of Rs 1499 (only when purchased with Y300). This offer is valid from November 21 to November 30, 2024 and can be availed only on Flipkart, Amazon, and in-store. This is not applicable to Vivo e-store.
Vivo Y300 5G: Specs and features
The Vivo Y300 features a sleek design with a high-gloss metal-like frame. The company explains that the Titanium Silver variant takes inspiration from the refined look of titanium, and when illuminated with a torch, it shines with a dazzling diamond-like starry texture. Meanwhile, Emerald Green and Phantom Purple add a dynamic and vibrant personality to the design.
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display certified by SGS Low Blue Light Eye Care protects users’ eyes. The Vivo Y300 is 7.79 mm thick and weighs 188 grams.
It has a dual camera set-up consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main camera and a 2-megapixel Bokeh camera. It comes with features including 2x Portrait Mode, AI Aura Light, AI Supermoon, Super Night Algorithm and Stylish Night. Additionally, the Y300 comes with smart AI features like AI Erase and AI Enhance.
For selfie, Y300 has a 32-megapixel front portrait camera. The smartphone comes with dual-view video that allows simultaneous recording from the front and rear cameras. Users can adjust the screen ratio for split-screen or use the picture-in-picture format.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge. The company promises four years of battery capacity and comes with 24-pronged security protection.
Vivo Y300 brings 8 GB additional RAM through Extended RAM 3.0 feature which makes switching between apps faster and easier. Powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, it features an advanced 4nm processor chipset with 8 core CPU architecture. It also offers 4D game vibration, game voice changer, and dual 10x super touch controls.
With an IP64 dust and water resistance rating and wet-touch technology, the Y300 is expected to deliver a reliable experience. The device runs on FuntouchOS 14 built on Android 14, which offers a responsive user experience.
