The year is about to end, but there are still some important launches to come. The iQOO 13, OnePlus 13, and M4 Mac are all set to launch before the end of this year. Another such launch is of Vivo’s flagship X200 series. Vivo has confirmed that the launch will take place on October 14. Ahead of the scheduled launch, Vivo has officially unveiled the front design of its upcoming Vivo X200 series, following a teaser of its back design last week. The unveiling of the product was shared by Vivo’s product manager, Han Boxiao, on Weibo, where a side-by-side comparison with the previous Vivo X100 highlighted key design changes.

Notably, the Vivo X200 will have flat edges, reminiscent of the Galaxy S24 series, marking a change from the curved edges and display of its predecessor. The new front design includes a flat display surrounded by extremely thin bezels, giving the device a sleek and modern look. The X200’s metal frame also includes visible antenna bands running along its sides. While the standard model will adopt a flat screen, rumors suggest that the X200 Pro will retain the curved display found in the previous model.

In terms of colors, the Vivo X200 will launch in two fixed options: a blue version with a wave-like pattern and a white model with a textured back. However, speculations indicate the possibility of additional colors including Titanium and Midnight Black. On the back, the X200 will carry the larger circular camera module of the X100 series, continuing its partnership with ZEISS for camera systems.

The display size of Vivo X200 remains a topic of discussion. While previous leaks suggested a more compact 6.3-inch display, the recent teaser suggests a size closer to the X100’s 6.78-inch screen. This has led to rumors of a smaller Vivo X200 Mini model being part of the lineup.

The Vivo X200 series is set to launch in China on October 14, and the lineup is expected to include the Vivo X200 Pro and potentially the X200 Mini. A global release is expected at a later date.

Parallel to the launch of the phone, Vivo also made headlines with the release of its Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15 beta. Even ahead of Google and Samsung, Vivo is one of the first manufacturers to launch an Android 15-based OS. The new operating system brings advanced algorithms, better animations, and AI-powered features to select Vivo and iQOO devices. Funtouch OS 15 update has already been deployed on iQOO 12, the update will be released for Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro by mid-October. You can see the full rollout timeline here.
