The film was initially scheduled to release during the Pongal festival in January, but faced significant delays and legal issues related to censor certificate. Recently, the film was leaked on various pirated sites, adding to the troubles of the filmmakers.

Following a complaint lodged with the Chennai Cyber ​​Crime Police, nine people were arrested in connection with the leak. According to a press release from the cyber crime wing, the main accused is a freelance editor who accessed and stole the footage of the film, which was later shared with the co-accused, resulting in its wide distribution.
