Actor Vijay Sethupathi, known for his versatility and bold script options, is once again taking a complicated project with director Puri Jagannadh with his upcoming cooperation. Asked about his decision to work with Jagannadh despite the director’s inconsistent track records, Sethupathi said that he does not judge a filmmaker from his past.

In a recent interview with EtimesSethupathi said, “I do not judge my directors what they have done in the past. If I like the script, I do it. I liked what Puri has presented. This is an action film, something that I have not done before. I need to push myself into the uncontrolled field and repeat myself.” His fresh challenges continue to define his career.

Puri Jagannadh has seen a recession with films like ‘Mehboboba’, ‘Ligar’ and ‘Double Ismart’ in his career despite known for his trendsetting films and prestigious hero features. Ever since the announcement of his cooperation with Vijay Sethupathi, the fan has been eager to see Puri’s signature style in presenting Sethupathi in a full action avatar, many people hope that it will mark a big return for the filmmaker.

The film also stars Tabu, which has his first cooperation with Sethupathi. Talking about working with an experienced Bollywood actor, he said, “He has an important role in the film. He is a good artist. It is always a pleasure to work with a talented co-star, especially I have not worked with such a person.”

In another exciting development, Radhika Apte is allegedly designed to return to Telugu cinema after a long break. The film is expected to play an important role with Sethupathi and Tabu. While an official announcement from the manufacturers is still waiting, sources suggest that the production will begin in June.
