Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, known for his versatility in acting, is stepping into a new role as the host of Bigg Boss 8 Tamil. In the recent promo video shared on social media, Sethupathi is seen wearing a silver suit and sports a clean shaven look as he introduces himself as the new face of the popular reality show.

In the video, Sethupathi confidently addresses the audience and says, “I understand your expectations. Now the stage is ready, the contestants are ready and your new host is also ready. The promo hints at an exciting season to come, with Sethupathi bringing his unique style and energy to the show.

The promo was captioned on Instagram, “In a new angle… with a new strategy… Grand launch of #BiggBossTamil Season 8 – today at 6 PM on our Vijay TV.”* This season is full of freshness There promises to be twists and expectations are high as fans eagerly await the grand launch.

Earlier, Kamal Haasan was the host of Bigg Boss and successfully anchored the show for seven seasons. In August 2024, Kamal Haasan shared a statement stating that he had taken a break from the show due to ‘prior cinematic commitments’.

The show will be live streamed on the OTT platform and one-hour episodes will also be available to the viewers.

According to reports, around 16 contestants will enter the Bigg Boss house on October 6. Later, three-four wild-card contestants will join the rest during the show.
