“We are going to Thummanpet. The small village where my father was born. In February, @iamRashmika and I announced the beginning of our little dream. To reward all the hardworking students of class 9th and 10th of Achampet mandal, Telangana. Here is the list of 180 children who made their parents proud #TheDeverakondaFoundation (sic),” he wrote.

The initiative, first announced in February, aims to recognize students from government schools who have excelled academically and provide them additional support for higher studies.
Addressing the students and their families at the event, Vijay said that the scholarship was only the beginning of a bigger vision.
He said, “Giving you this small scholarship gift is very small. But I think it is important for us. I want to be a part of your lives. Gradually, after my village, I want this step to be taken across Telangana. This is my dream. I wanted to celebrate the discipline and create focus behind it.”
Residents welcomed the initiative, with many calling it an encouraging step towards identifying talent in rural government schools and creating opportunities for students who might otherwise go unnoticed.

Rashmika also addressed the gathering and told about the importance of starting the program in Thummanpet.
She said, “I will speak less today, but today we are starting something good through The Deverakonda Foundation. We decided that we will start it from Achampet and Thummanpet, which is our father-in-law’s village. Today I stand in front of you and talk to you as Rashmika Mandanna Deverakonda. I am very excited.”
He congratulated the rank-holders present at the event and encouraged the students to embrace both success and failure as part of their learning journey.

This trip brought a personal homecoming and a broader educational mission for Vijay. By recognizing academic excellence and providing scholarship assistance to 180 students, the actor hopes to create a model that can eventually be expanded to other parts of Telangana through the Devarakonda Foundation.
The trip also marks the fulfillment of the promise that both the actors made earlier this year through The Deverakonda Foundation. As part of the programme, 180 meritorious students from the area have been selected to receive scholarships.
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have reunited for their next. battlefield. Set in a period setting, the film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
