On February 22, 2026, Vijay and Rashmika made their relationship official. Acknowledging the nickname given to them by fans, they called their wedding ‘The Wedding of Virosh’. The couple’s note on their Instagram Story reads, “Our dearest love, before we made any plans, before we even chose anything for ourselves – you were already there. So lovingly, you gave us a name. You called us ‘Virosh’. So today – with all our hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it – ‘The Wedding of Virosh’. Thank you for holding us so dearly. K-drama themed event
Vijay and Rashmika got married in a traditional Andhra wedding on February 26 at ITC Momentos in Udaipur in the presence of family members and close friends. A customized cake with a K-drama theme was placed at the center of the evening’s festivities.
Antakshari with a twist
The festivities continued with the Antakshari night, but with a rule that made it uniquely theirs. Instead of the usual mix of popular hits, the game was limited to songs from Vijay and Rashmika’s filmography.
The wedding will reportedly have two separate ceremonies representing both Vijay and Rashmika’s families. Rashmika’s roots will be celebrated at a Kodava function on Thursday evening.
