Actor Vijay, while addressing a public meeting in Trichy, alleged conspiracy behind the Jan Nayagan hold-up and Karur stampede tragedy. He said that he is fighting not only for the justice of the people but also for his own.

Actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay filed his nomination for the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections in Trichy on Thursday. After submitting his nomination, he addressed the crowd and raised concerns about the conspiracy surrounding the delay of his final film. Vijay reiterated that he has given up a life of luxury to stand with the people. He emphasized that his political journey was motivated by gratitude to the people and a willingness to endure hardships. He presented a direct choice to the voters between himself and current Chief Minister MK Stalin (representing the DMK) and described the election as a contest between those working for the people and those working against them.
The actor also criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government, terming it an ‘evil force’ and urging voters to remove it from power in the assembly elections. Vijay is contesting for the first time as a candidate in Perambur and Trichy East constituencies through his party TVK.
