Vicky Kaushal’s Chhawi film screening in Delhi Theater is tragic after the major accident; Description

Vicky Kaushal’s script screening at Selected Citywalk Mall in Delhi was interrupted after a fire inside the theater on 26 February. The incident caused panic among the audience as a part of the screen caught fire. Fortunately, there was no injury.

According to News 18, an official of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said that the fire broke out around 5:44 pm during the screening of six, making six fire tenders to the spot. The blast was brought under control within 10 minutes, and no injury.

According to the portal, a spokesperson of the mall later addressed the incident, stating that he knew about the short circuit in the nearby multiplex. He assured full cooperation with the multiplex team and officials, while confirming that no one was harmed. Additionally, he clarified that regular operations in Nexus Sect Citywalk remained unaffected.

According to PTI, the police reported to receive a call about the fire, in which some people were trapped inside with concerns. Emergency teams were quickly sent, and the flames were extinguished without any injury.

Veer Singh, a fan of Vicky Kaushal, who was watching at the time of the incident, described the situation to PTI. He mentioned that as soon as people paid attention to the fire and saw that the smoke was spreading, nervous, and they shouted. Although the fire was small, the alarm was triggered, motivated the staff of the cinema hall to enter and instructed all to vacate immediately.

The Chhawa directed by Laxman Utekar, a symbol of its return to film production two years later and was released on 14 February 2025. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashamika Mandanna, the film is exceptionally well at the box office. Based on the Marathi novel Chava, the historic action drama investigates the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the founder of the Maratha Empire.

Vicky played the title role, while Rashmika portrayed his wife, Yusubai Bhonsle. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta in important roles.

Meanwhile, the manufacturers officially announced an exciting update on social media. Madock Films revealed their cooperation with Vas, Bani, the Thandel manufacturer under the banner of Geeta Arts for the film’s Telugu-Dab released. Confirming the release date, the manufacturers shared that Chhava would reach the Telugu screen on 7 March after popular demand.
