Actor Vicky Kaushal along with his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, observed his first Karwa Chauth fast, an Indian festival in which a wife observes a fast for her husband’s long life after marriage. She had no problem observing the fast as being an actor she is used to dietary restrictions. However, Katrina got restless after 8:30 pm. In a recent interview, Vicky recalled the day and fondly called Katrina the “Google Queen” for searching the moonrise time on Google while fasting on Karwa Chauth.

“I don’t have any problem with fasting. Being actors, we have to go through dietary restrictions and all that, so being an actor helps. But she is a Google queen. She asked Google when she would be able to see the moon,” Vicky revealed during an interview. Film Companion.

He further said, “Google said 8:30 pm. I told her that the moon will not listen to Google; it will come when it wants. Google cannot predict the movement of clouds. It got delayed, and she said, ‘It has not come.’ I said it is not like I am calling it. It will come when it wants. Till the time Google said, 8:30 pm, she was perfectly fine; after that, she said, ‘Now I am feeling hungry.'”

When reminded that it all started with Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) fasting for Simran (Kajol) in the 1995 film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, Vicky joked, “Shahrukh sir said no… (Shahrukh sir did it…)”, indicating how the scene defied romantic expectations.

Earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, Katrina had said Vicky kept a fast for him which is “the sweetest thing ever.”

Katrina added, “But the sweetest thing was that Vicky was also fasting. Yes, he fasted too. I am sure he wouldn’t have let me fast alone, and he didn’t… It’s not like I asked him to do all this. I didn’t say anything. He fasted on his own, so it was a very sweet thing.”

Rumours of Katrina’s pregnancy have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Recently, Vicky addressed the rumours during a promotional event of his upcoming film Bad Newz. He said, “For now, just enjoy the bad news that we have to offer. When the time comes, we won’t hold back.”

Vicky Kaushal’s film Bad News will be released in theatres on July 19.
