Aamir Khan’s iconic film 3 idiots is set to return with a sequel, and latest reports suggest that a fourth idiot may be introduced in the story, with Vicky Kaushal being considered for the role. This development adds a new layer of excitement to the much-loved franchise, which will reportedly see a 10-year jump in its narrative.

According to a report by pinkvillaVicky is likely to join the original cast comprising Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan.

“Kaushal is looking forward to sharing screen space with Aamir Khan and contributing to a franchise that will be fondly remembered,” a source shared with the entertainment portal.

The report further added that discussions are already underway. The source said, “There have already been several meetings between Vicky, Aamir and Hirani and Vicky has verbally agreed to play the role of the fourth ‘idiot’, although the timelines have to align for the entire group.”

The sequel is expected to be directed once again by Rajkumar Hirani, who directed the original film. While the project is still in the planning stages, the addition of a new character suggests a fresh narrative approach while retaining the essence of the original story.

According to the report, Vicky Kaushal will start shooting for the sequel only after completing his current commitments, including Mahavatar, which demands an extensive shooting schedule.
