Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s Vettaiyaan saw a further decline in its numbers on Thursday, October 17. This is the lowest collection ever since its release on October 10. According to the tracking website, SacnilkThe film grossed approximately Rs 3 crore nett at the domestic box office. It remains to be seen how the film performs in theaters in its second weekend. This film is approaching the earning of Rs 150 crore in India.

In its four-day opening weekend, Vettaiyan managed to gross Rs 240 crore worldwide. However, a huge decline was seen in the collections during weekdays. Due to unprecedented rains in Tamil Nadu and other regions, theater footfall was low on weekdays.

On 17 October, Vettaiyan recorded its lowest ever net collection in India of Rs 3.15 crore. In eight days, the film earned more than Rs 122.10 crore nett at the domestic box office.

The Tamil version of Vettaiyan recorded an overall occupancy of 16.79 percent in India on 17 October.

Vettaiyaan is an action drama directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in lead roles. The film’s script is jointly written by Gnanavel and B. Kiruthika.
