Veteran South Indian actor Pushpalatha died in Chennai on Tuesday. She was 87 years old. According to reports, he succumbed to age -related health issues after prolonged treatment.
Pushpalatha’s acting career started with a cameo in the 1955 film Nalla Thangai. He made his main debut in Konga Nattu Thangam in 1962. During a career as an actor, she appeared in more than 100 films in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam languages, including films such as Sharada, Alaiyayani, Paar Magli Paar and Kalyanaraman.
Born in Coimbatore, Mettupalayam, Pushpalatha came from a Catholic Chettinad family. He was married to veteran actor AVM Rajan.
Pushpalatha is left from her husband, her two daughters and grandchildren.
