Kannada film and television actor Bank Janardan died at the age of 75 due to age -related health issues.

Veteran Kannada actor Bank Janardan died on Monday, April 14, 2025 in a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 75 years old. The actor died due to health issues related to age.
Janardan, known for his work in television and comedy, appeared in popular serials like ‘Papa Pandu’, ‘Mangalaya Jokali’ and ‘Robo Family’. He made his film debut in ‘Pitmaha’ (1985) directed by KL Swamy.
He became widely recognized for his unique communication distribution and comic timing, with a standout performance in ‘Shh’! (1993), Upendra, ‘Tarle Nan Maga’ (1992), Anant Nag, and Kaurav (1998) directed by ‘Ganesh Subramanya’ (1992), including BC Patil and Prema.
In addition to his film and television roles, Janardan was actively involved in theater through his cooperation with the Pooshka Kalavidha Sangh, who participated in many stage products.
Born in Sultanhalli (now Sulthanpalya), Bengaluru in 1948, Janardan remained a respected person in cinema, television and theater for decades.
In 2023, he had a heart attack, but was recovered. However, his health had recently declined, and he was admitted to Manipal Hospital, where he died.
His body will be kept at his residence in Sulthanpali for public tribute till 5:30 pm today.
