Comedian Veer Das trolled the strict red carpet dress code of ear 2025 by posting a photo-shop image of himself in an exaggerated nude gown with a long train.

Veer Das took another playful Jab at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, 23 May, in which the AI-Janit photo participating in the prestigious program on Instagram was shared. This occurred after the festival when strict new rules were introduced for the red carpet look, including no dramatic gowns, naked dress, and long, flowing trains.
Veer Das posted a photo-show photo of himself in Cannes, wearing a semi-transparent and voluntary dress with an additional-length train. With the photo, he wrote, “Big, voluntary, naked, long train.
The post was clearly a joke, and he admitted that he had not actually attended the event. But the fun post quickly attracted online attention.
A few days before the festival began on 13 May, Das also posted a funny statement pretending to be upset about the new rules.
“It is with deep regrets that I declare that I will no longer participate in the Cannes Film Festival due to the new Red Carpet rules. Nude voluntary gowns with big trains for many generations are culturally specialized for the comedy community. But if I can wear a gota original, I refuse to close my culture.
The 78th Cannes Film Festival, starting on 13 May, will end on May 24, 2025. The prestigious incident saw a strong Indian appearance on the red carpet. Bollywood actors like Alia Bhatt, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Aditi Rao Hydari, others added glamor and elegance to the grand program.
